Truthquest HistoryYou will not learn the story of mankind. You will learn the
love story of mankind. You will not watch the rise and fall of civilizations.
You will see the arrow-straight line of God's existence, power, love, truth, and
plan for civilization. Why? Because mankind is not the prime force in the
universe. God is. He initiates. We Respond. Because history is not first about
what people do. It is about what they believe to be true. The exploration of history should reveal God and His Truth,
not glorify the achievements of mankind. The actions of kings, artists, writers,
and scientists cannot even be understood unless they are seen for what they
are-- deeds motivated by basic beliefs about God, both true and untrue. Let us not be found teaching humanistic history. Let us
learn of civilization in a way that reveals the God whose name is Truth. Your
children will realize the only source of knowledge is God's laws, and the only
source of human worth is God's love for us. Reading living books, even the best, does not provide the connectedness and depth that is needed to inculcate true principles into the hearts of our children. Nor does reading textbooks (even Christian ones), that tend to be superficial and focused on details, not important issues The goal is not just to "meet the
culture" or "get the facts." It's to get the Accomplishing this requires great, living
books,
but they must be read in the context of the true issues at hand. Otherwise,
living books
yield random, superficial learning. These living books
must come to the student in the correct order, so that your children are given
the gift of learning timeless 'cause and effect' principles. Few parents have the time or resources
required to fully research the profound issues and specific chronology necessary
to provide quality depth and breadth of study to their children. There's no
need. TruthQuest History has done that for you. Gather on the couch, open a
great book, jump into history together, as a family. You're on a Truth Quest!
