Creative Writing
Workshop
The Workshop: Creative Writing the Lost Art
Rosie will share much of the philosophy that inspired her to develop 'The Wonder
of Words,' a writing course for children.
You will leave equipped with creative and practical strategies to inspire the
writer in your child.
She will explore the answers to the questions:
How do children learn to write?
And more importantly, how do children learn to
LOVE to write?
Rosie will also cover topics such as:
Brainstorming... literally creating an explosion
in the brain, and what to do if the only brain exploding is yours!
How to capture sensory detail.
Stimulating creativity...
The painful prewriting process, can it be
painless?
Communication and storytelling as a prelude to
writing.
How to take the stress out of writing and make it
fun.
Practical and effective strategies to motivate
reluctant readers and writers.
And much much more.....

What Others Say

Dear Mrs. Watson,
I want to thank you so much for teaching me how to write. I just finished a book
report on Julie of the Wolves. It was exciting to see myself become a writer.
Before you taught me I had not grasped the real meaning of writing, nor did I
even like writing. But ever since you brought writing to life it has become a
hobby of mine. Thanks to you I now know I want to be a writer when I grow up.
Thank you for caring about my special talent. I see the special talent that you
have and that is the gift of teaching and understanding.
Thank you,
Love Kara
Rosie's course is amazing! My 9 year old daughter who hated writing anything
prior to Rosie's class commented the other day; "Wouldn't it be cool mom if
you could get paid to write for a living!" She often writes stories and
journals on her own now. What a gift this inspiring experience was.
